Alicia B\u00e1rcena defiende ecosistemas del Caribe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Confirma que \u201cPerfect Day M\u00e9xico\u201d no ser\u00e1 aprobado por posibles afectaciones ambientales<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\">La secretaria de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, Alicia B\u00e1rcena, inform\u00f3 que el Gobierno de M\u00e9xico no aprobar\u00e1 el proyecto tur\u00edstico \u201cPerfect Day M\u00e9xico\u201d, impulsado por Royal Caribbean en Mahahual, Quintana Roo, debido a las posibles afectaciones ambientales que podr\u00eda generar en la regi\u00f3n.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante un evento oficial de la Secretar\u00eda de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, la funcionaria federal se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la prioridad del gobierno es proteger los ecosistemas costeros y el sistema arrecifal del Caribe mexicano.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo se va a aprobar el proyecto de Perfect Day de Royal Caribbean\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Alicia B\u00e1rcena al reiterar que la administraci\u00f3n federal mantiene una postura firme en defensa del medio ambiente.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proyecto contemplaba la construcci\u00f3n de un megacomplejo tur\u00edstico con playas artificiales, toboganes, albercas, restaurantes y \u00e1reas recreativas destinadas principalmente al turismo de cruceros, con una inversi\u00f3n cercana a mil millones de d\u00f3lares.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, organizaciones ambientalistas, colectivos ciudadanos y habitantes de Mahahual expresaron su preocupaci\u00f3n por el posible impacto sobre manglares, arrecifes y ecosistemas marinos de la zona.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La decisi\u00f3n del Gobierno federal ocurre despu\u00e9s de diversas manifestaciones y campa\u00f1as impulsadas por agrupaciones ambientalistas como Greenpeace M\u00e9xico, que solicitaron detener el proyecto para evitar da\u00f1os ecol\u00f3gicos irreversibles.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un d\u00eda antes del anuncio, la Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum adelant\u00f3 que no se permitir\u00edan desarrollos que pusieran en riesgo el equilibrio ambiental de Mahahual y del Caribe mexicano, por lo que instruy\u00f3 una revisi\u00f3n exhaustiva del proyecto por parte de Semarnat.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aunque sectores empresariales defend\u00edan la obra por la generaci\u00f3n de empleos y el impulso econ\u00f3mico para el sur de Quintana Roo, el Gobierno de M\u00e9xico reiter\u00f3 que el desarrollo tur\u00edstico debe mantenerse bajo criterios de sustentabilidad y protecci\u00f3n ambiental.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hasta el momento, Royal Caribbean no ha emitido una postura oficial definitiva sobre la negativa del proyecto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Confirma que \u201cPerfect Day M\u00e9xico\u201d no ser\u00e1 aprobado por posibles afectaciones ambientales La secretaria de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, Alicia B\u00e1rcena, inform\u00f3 que el Gobierno de M\u00e9xico no aprobar\u00e1 el proyecto tur\u00edstico \u201cPerfect Day M\u00e9xico\u201d, impulsado por Royal Caribbean en Mahahual, Quintana Roo, debido a las posibles afectaciones ambientales que podr\u00eda generar en la [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":105293,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[30,34],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-105289","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-destacado","category-nacional"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Semarnat frena megaproyecto tur\u00edstico en Mahahual;
