INSTAGRAM POST TRIGGERS SECURITY INVESTIGATION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Albro posted a selfie on Instagram on Thursday, October 29, accompanied by a message saying she intended to attend Trump’s rally the following day and shoot him with a Glock handgun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post also included a request for others to wish her luck, according to investigators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message prompted a law enforcement response ahead of the president’s scheduled appearance at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SECRET SERVICE AND DEPUTIES QUESTION SUSPECT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Domestic Security Unit and the U.S. Secret Service contacted Albro after authorities became aware of the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the arrest report, Albro acknowledged publishing the message but told investigators that she had intended it as a joke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She reportedly said she did not own a Glock, had no access to firearms and would never physically harm anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators also reported that Albro deleted the post after her mother warned her about the potential consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AUTHORITIES FIND NO WEAPONS DURING SEARCH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to local reporting based on the arrest documents, deputies searched Albro’s residence and found no firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The absence of weapons did not prevent authorities from filing charges related to the written threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators have not publicly presented evidence that Albro possessed a firearm or had taken additional steps toward carrying out the alleged threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TWO FELONY CHARGES FILED IN FLORIDA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Albro faces one count of making written threats to kill or cause bodily injury, classified as a second-degree felony under Florida law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also faces a separate charge of unlawfully using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony, a third-degree felony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
