Social media posts describe a driver fleeing a gunman. The incident’s location, timing and reported gunfire remain under verification.
A video circulating on social media depicts a woman in a transit uniform escaping through the window beside a bus driver’s seat. Daily Loud shared the footage November 6, identifying her as a Chicago bus driver fleeing an armed man.
The recording captures the front section of the bus, including the enclosed driver’s area and entrance. A man stands near the cab as the woman leaves her seat and exits through the side window. Her identity and the circumstances preceding the recording remain unverified.
Daily Loud’s caption alleges that the man drew a gun and fired shots. It also describes the bus as moving during the escape. Those details have yet to be independently corroborated through an official account tied to this specific recording.
The post links to an earlier upload by the account @teeelatricee, dated November 5. That caption also alleges gunfire. These publication dates establish when the footage was shared on those accounts, while the date of the incident remains unresolved.
Separately, Hoodline reported an armed incident aboard a Chicago Transit Authority bus on November 3, citing WGN and police. That account describes a woman escaping through a window on South Pulaski Avenue, followed by a suspect’s arrest. It reported no injuries. A connection between that case and the circulating footage has yet to be established.
Verification of the recording’s origin remains necessary to establish the route, the driver’s condition and the police response. Any identification of a suspect, arrest or criminal charge associated with this video would require confirmation from authorities or records specific to the incident.
